Community News in the PTSA Newsletter

Tesoro PTSA invites clubs and organizations within the Tesoro family of schools and Tesoro athletic teams to advertise any events and fundraisers in the weekly e-news. If you want to submit information into the e-news, please e-mail your complete announcement to enews@tesoro-ptsa.org by Friday at noon.  The weekly e-news is sent out Sunday evenings.

Get Your Tesoro Spirit Wear at Back to School Night!!!!!

The new THS Campus Store is located across from the front office and will be open during Back To School Night from 5:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m!  Get your parking spot and come early to shop! T-Shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, socks and more are available. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. Grab your spirit wear and show that TITAN PRIDE at our next home game or match!

Got Textbook Donations?

Now that the kids are back in school, it’s a great time to clear out last year’s clutter of old textbooks that are no longer needed. Tesoro PTSA is accepting Used Textbooks.  Donations can be left at the Library. The donated books are made available to students who are interested in an extra set.  All funds raised through this program are used to purchase new books for the library inventory, for all students to enjoy, for many years.  Help us keep the Library up to date with the latest, most in demand book titles to promote reading! This program is the primary source for funding for our library.

Need an Extra Set of Textbooks?

Relieve some of the pressure on your student’s back and never hear the excuse: “I can’t do my homework, I forgot my book “.  HURRY NOW- We have a limited supply of books available. Our inventory can be found on the PTSA website or you can email: tesorobooks@tesoro-ptsa.org

New Tesoro Student Store is Open for Business!

The Tesoro PTSA is now selling Tesoro spirit wear and items (non-club/sport specific) in the new student store located across from the front office. T-Shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, socks and more are now available. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. The store will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 12-1. GO TITANS!!!!!

Time to Register/Renew Your Grocery Cards & Help Our Students Thrive!

Store Grocery Cards are an easy way for our school community to financially support our students and it is SO easy! Whether you shop at Ralphs or Pavillons, you can help our students each time you visit the store – even if it is just to run in and get a gall on of milk! Here is how:

Ralphs: Register your Ralph’s grocery card every school year to get their corporate donations to Tesoro’s PTSA.   Even if you registered your card before, you must renew your registration every year now through Ralph’s website. Go to www.ralphs.com and update/edit your Community Rewards information to select Tesoro High School to designate contributions. Ralphs Community Program: Use group ID number is 81486.

Vons/Pavilions: Register your Vons/Pavilions store card & debit/credit cards with eScrip. When you shop at participating stores, shop online through the eScrip Online Mall, or dine at restaurants participating in the eScrip Dining Rewards program, Tesoro High School will receive a percentage donation from merchants based on what you’ve spent.   Your cards are never charged for this by eScrip — it’s free to you!  Go to www.escrip.com to sign up. Pavilions Value Plus Card: Use group ID number 500000174 **NEW THIS YEAR- we will only receive a donation if you purchase your groceries or items with a debit card or cash.  They will not give Tesoro the donation if the items are purchased with a credit card. **  

Advertise Your Business & Help Our Student Programs at the Same Time!

The Tesoro High School PTSA is pleased to offer the opportunity to advertise in the Membership Directory that reaches our entire school community. With over 2200 students attending Tesoro High School, this provides one of the best vehicles to advertise your business or service. Money raised from advertising in our Membership Directory will help fund programs that benefit EVERY student on campus. If you are interested in advertising in the Tesoro Membership Directory, please complete the Directory Advertising Form  and submit your electronic directory ad prior to the deadline of October 31, 2014 to advertise@tesoro-ptsa.org. If you are placing a business card size ad, please complete this form and attach your card to this order form along with payment (please do not staple).  Return it to the THS Front Office along with payment

Please Become a Member of our PTSA Today!

Thank you to everyone who have already become a member of our THS PTSA. If you did not turn in your PTSA membership form during registration, please drop off your membership form and dues in the front office.  Anyone can be a member – parents, family members, students, and staff.  Membership is $15 for adult members, and $10 for students; family plans are also available which include planners and donations. Your dues and donations are used for classroom technology, curriculum support, teacher mini-grants, senior scholarships, and much more!

Please note that SENIORS MUST BE A MEMBER BY 11/7/14 TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A PTSA SCHOLARSHIP.
